One of my favorite things about working for Digital Deployment is
being able to assist all of our clients as Customer Support
Manager. Answering questions and guiding people in the right
direction is very rewarding.
Being a ‘people person’ is definitely a skill that runs in the
family, since my dad is the head of Client Services for our
company. That’s right: Carsen Anthonisen is my
dad! He works with people to make sure prospective clients are a
good fit (and we are a fit for them!), current clients are
fulfilled and getting what they need, and generally making sure
everyone’s ongoing needs are being met. It’s his job to make sure
that clients get the most out of their websites and their ongoing
relationship with Digital Deployment.
I didn’t start in this position. I came to DD as an intern three
years ago, helping to migrate content, prepping the office for
meetings, and taking notes during client brainstorming sessions.
Because of my early connection to clients and their needs, it
feels very natural to me to have grown into this role as a
relationship manager and solution-finder. Having spent three
years getting to know our community of clients, it makes sense
that I would move on to supporting everyone directly!
I feel lucky to have the opportunity to work with and learn from
such a smart, personable, and charismatic dude as my dad (though
in the office I call him “Carsen,” which was an adjustment for
both of us, not to mention our coworkers, one of whom still calls
him “your… Carsen” when referring to him). :)
I imagine that few people get the opportunity to see how hard
their parents work and how much they have to offer in their work
environment. Luckily, I get to see it every day. It’s inspiring
to see someone so dedicated to the company they’ve worked
diligently to help build. There is a lot for me to learn from
this amazing man, so devoted to customer service.
If you ever get the chance to work beside one or both of your
parents, I recommend it. You get to see a different and amazing
side of them that might surprise you!
